In December of 2011 a new slot machine was added to casinos across the Internet. The Mummy slot machine is based on the 1999 film titled The Mummy. This slot game offers a number of features and is one of the few online slot machines that contain Universal Studios movie themes. I personally loved The Mummy so it is only natural that I love The Mummy slot machine. If there are swords, ancient prophecies and women like Rachel Weisz in a movie you just know it’s going to be good. This movie-based slot machine offers wild symbols, big payouts and a random Lost City Adventure. Even though the movie is 13 years old The Mummy slot machine has been very successful in the short time since its launch.

The only complaint I have read about the Mummy slot game is that there were too many ways to win. There are eight pay-table and rules pages for The Mummy slot. Most online slot machines will have 2-3 pages so this means that this slot is significantly more complex. Online slots fans tend to enjoy a challenge so this added complexity has not been a problem for most players.

After 10-20 minutes of playing the Mummy slot machine you will essentially have it down to a science. Here is an overview of some of the symbols featured in this game:

Rachel Weisz – Evelyn ‘Evy’ Carnahan

Brendan Fraser – Richard ‘Rick’ O’Connell

Arnold Vosloo – High Priest Imhotep

The Rock – The Scorpion King (Scatter)

Guns

Sarcophagi

Golden Beetles

And of course the Mummy!

The Mummy Slot Machine – The Lost City Adventure

This bonus round is completely random and from what I hear you will likely hit it at least a few times per hour. This bonus round starts with a movie clip showing the desert. You are then taken to a secret Egyptian burial chamber that contains six crates. The crates contain cash prizes that are determined by how much you are wagering per credit. They also include free games, new symbols and a Super Spin.

The Mummy Slot – Pay-Table

The payouts for the Mummy slot game reach as high as 10,000 (5X). There are 25 lines and 3 reels so many players prefer playing at $.05-$.25 per credit. You can increase the value of each credit much larger than this if you prefer playing at the higher stakes. Here is an image of the regular pay-table for the Mummy slot game:

Other Bonus Rounds & Side Games

The Lost City Adventure is not the only bonus round or side game featured in this slot machine. They have a list of features you can choose from. The free games and the Super Spin are my personal favorite but I also find the Mummy Hunt Bonus game to be very fun. You will have to choose between tunnels as you attempt to hunt down the Mummy. This part of the game reminds me of playing games on the XBox 360. The graphics are of the highest quality but they do not slow down the game. The Mummy slot game has some customization features too. You can use the AutoPlay feature and the machine will run all by itself, to your specifications.

Titan Poker is the third largest online poker room, along with the other rooms on their network. After you download Titan Poker you will have the opportunity to claim one of the largest poker bonuses available on the iPoker Network. Titan Poker doesn’t simply offer a large deposit bonus. They go even further by offering a wide range of other incentives. This post will cover the 2012 Titan Poker bonus, the additional new player incentives and a general overview of the clearance requirements for the bonus. I’ll begin with the bonus since that is the thing new players at Titan Poker will be interested in first.

Titan Poker Download, Signup & Bonus

Visiting Titan Poker and downloading their free software are the first things you will need to do. Once that is complete you will run the software and create a new account. The registration page that requests personal information like your email address, name and address is also where you will enter the Titan Poker bonus code 200DOL. As far as poker bonuses go the 200% match bonus up to $2,000 at Titan Poker is one of the largest available online. As a general rule of thumb I look at huge deposit bonuses skeptically as they usually come with unreasonable or even misleading clearance requirements. As the flagship room on the largest poker network online you will not have to worry about this at Titan Poker. I’ll provide some details on the terms and conditions for this bonus later in this post.

The special Titan Poker bonus code at Titan Poker also provides a $25 cash bonus on top of the regular deposit bonus listed above. Another perk Titan Poker offers to new players are the $2,500 New Deposit Freerolls. This is 5X larger than the $500 freerolls offered by many other large rooms. Titan Poker will give you four tokens to these events so the total prize pool available is $10,000. These events are restricted to new depositors only so the playing fields will range from small to medium, giving you much better odds. Titan also hosts six $25 bankroll booster freerolls per day that are open to all, even play money players.

2012 Titan Poker Bonus Policy Explained

The bonus requirements at Titan Poker are fairly lax. You will receive a $5 bonus credit to your real money account each time you earn 250 points. Titan Poker is a unique point rewards system that enables you to receive anywhere from .3 points to 24 points in a single hand. This will allow you to claim your bonus very quickly, even at the small stakes level.

If you are fond of tournaments and sitngos the points will rack up even faster. Here are a few examples:

$10 +$1 tournament or sitngo – 17 points

$50+$5 tournament or sitngo – 85 points

$100+$10 tournament or sitngo – 170 points

So if you played in each of the tournaments or sitngos listed above you would have 272 points. That would clear $5 in bonus money and you would be around 10% of the way into the next increment. Every $1 in tournament fees at Titan Poker earns you 17 points.

With a cap of 24 points per hand it would only take a little less than 11 hands at the ring tables to clear a $5 installment. This number is based on the rake paid in to the pot so most small to mid range players will tend to earn 3.5 to 17 points per hand.

A couple years ago the online poker industry was pretty easy to understand. That changed in 2011 though. Many recreational online poker players are still visiting poker rooms like Full Tilt Poker and Absolute Poker. They may have heard that they are amongst the best places to play poker online for money or read about them on a poker portal or they may have opened an account there a year ago and haven’t been back since. What these players see when they visit the poker rooms listed above and several others doesn’t make a lot of sense. Full Tilt Poker is a good example. When you visit them you see a message from the US government saying that the domain was seized, but under that it says there are 46,000 players at the tables. Trying to make sense out of it by searching for answers typically just creates more questions. Obviously the government gave them back their domain.

If you are a European or an Asian you will probably be thinking that the room should be open. What does the US government have to do with you? You could visit all of the top poker news sites and still walk away confused. I am going to help you understand what happened, why it happened and what is suppose to happen. As my source I am using the leading poker news website PlayPokerOnline.com as well as one of their press releases that was published at finance.yahoo.com/news titled “Helping players make sense of the online poker situation“. PlayPokerOnline.com has a great article that covers the events of Black Friday and more recent events.

The Full Tilt Poker Situation

The US government seized Fulltiltpoker.com on 4-15-11. Fulltilt banned US players, just like Pokerstars, and they got their domain back. This is where the story between these two online poker giants differs. Pokerstars quickly paid all US players in full and Full Tilt Poker didn’t. Several months later the Alderney Gambling Control Commission revokes Full Tilt’s license because of the non-payment issue. Full Tilt claimed that they didn’t the tens of millions of dollars to pay back their players.

A few months ago there were some rumors about Full Tilt finding an investor that would put up the cash to pay poker players at least some of the money owed. Nothing is concrete yet, but from what I have heard this deal is still in the works.

The Absolute & Ultimate Bet Situation

Sister sites Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet never got their domains back. They essentially just disappeared with everyone’s money and there has not been any talk about them making it right. This isn’t surprising considering the history at these two poker rooms. At least with Full Tilt Poker there is a chance of getting your money back, but I doubt the scum at AP and UB are worried about anything other than hiding.

Online Poker Situation For US Players In 2012

PlayPokerOnline.com features a number of articles about the legality of online poker. They also offer an up to date list of the poker sites that accept US players in 2012. They even boast special poker bonus codes that give users better than norm bonuses and incentives.

In the past, before the Internet, sports bettors had to do all of the research themselves. Nowadays there are countless web sites that offer sports betting picks for free. Some even charge hundreds of dollars for a monthly picks subscription. Choosing the wrong site to get betting picks and advice from can easily cost you thousands of dollars. It can be very difficult to verify a web site’s historical accuracy. Not many sites are going to spotlight a terrible pick record. Online poker is my specialty so I rely on sports picks web sites to help me decide on what bets to make. I’ve found that sports betting is a great way to diversify my revenue streams. I will typically bet with 25% of my poker profits, invest another 25% and save the remaining 50%.

With poker rooms taking weeks to process payouts having a decent amount of money at one of the super-fast paying sports books gives me the ability to quickly get cash when I need it. I’ve used one sports betting picks site in particular this NFL football season and I have had amazing results. I have some tips I want to share for those of you who are looking for a prediction site to check out.

What To Look For In A Betting Picks Site?

Low quality betting picks sites are thankfully easy to spot. Most virtually advertise their terrible record for all to see, provided you know what to look for. Here is a telltale signs of a sports betting picks site that probably should not be trusted:

They “guarantee” a certain percentage of correct picks (i.e. 95% accuracy). When it comes to sports betting there are no guarantees. The Colts will sometimes beat the Packers and the Pistons will sometimes beat the Lakers. Any sports picks site that guarantees results are probably not a good resource.

Never trust a picks site until they have earned your trust. I am currently monitoring three major picks sites right now. This is in addition to the site that I’m having so much luck with (Thesportsgeek.com). I’m not actually placing wagers based on the picks offered by these three other sites. I’m simply keeping track of what they suggest and the outcomes. Out of the three sites I only would have won money with one of them.

Doing this allows me to check the accuracy level of their picks without risking a dime. It really only takes a few minutes a day too. If you are like me and you want to bet on sports but you don’t know much about the current teams and players your only option is to find a reliable sport picks site. Instead of doing hours worth of research on a particular team or match you can simply spend a fraction of that time researching the prediction sites. Once you find a good site you must always have backup sites ready. You also much continually find new sites to compare with your current site. If the site you are currently using experiences a drop in accuracy you will have a backup on hand and you won’t have to miss any of your favorite games.

Pokerstars had a rough year in 2011 but they are hoping that 2012 is going to be a year of record setting growth. February 1st is only five minutes away and Poker Stars is already having a great year. This post will update you on the latest changes to the vaunted Pokerstars VIP program and take a look at their new Time Tournaments. I will start this Pokerstars review with a look at their VIP program. This loyalty program is really in a league of its own and has been voted as the best of its kind by online poker players. Only at Pokerstars can you lose money every day and still end up ahead, provided you play enough.

2012 Poker Stars VIP Program Review

The loyalty program at Pokerstars has four monthly levels and two yearly levels. Each of these levels comes with a wide range of benefits. This VIP program has two other unique benefits: Stellar Rewards and Milestone Cash Credits. I will try to explain how each of these connected programs work. To do the Poker Stars VIP program any justice would take 20+ pages. I will try to cram everything into this post to give you a general idea of just how beneficial this program is.

VIP tiers – As I mentioned there are 6 tiers. The main benefit for each one is the FPP multiplier. Pokerstars basically awards two types of points: VPPs and FPPs. Your VIP level is determined by the number of VPPs you earn at the tables. You will not spend these points. They are used to track your VIP level and clear bonuses. When you first sign up you will receive 1 FPP for each VPP. As you move up the VIP ladder you can earn up to 5 FPPs for each VPP. These FPPs are going to be very useful later on. The non point related benefits include VIP freeroll and tournament entries.

Stellar Rewards – There are two of these cash rewards available each year. They start once you have earned 750 VPPs and end when you have earned 100,000. Each reward ranges from $10 to $200 and even micro stakes and recreational players can expect to claim most, if not all $1,200 worth each year. Each one only costs 1 FPP and they are available in the VIP store.

Milestone Cash Credits – This is where things get interesting. These cash credits are like Stellar Rewards on steroids. They start when you have earned 200,000 VPPs in a year and end when you have reached 3,000,000. The first credit is worth $2,600 and there are 16 all together. As you move up the values will increase. At 1,000,000 VPPs it jumps from $4,200 to $20,000. The next 8 cash credits are all either $9,200 or $19,200. There is a total of $136,800 in these cash credits available to each player each year. This is why I said you can lose every day and still walk away ahead if you play enough.

There is one other way that you can get cash. Each VIP level has a VIP reward bonus you can buy using FPPs. These range from $25 and go all the way up to $4,000. You can buy these as often as you like. These really come in handy when you are earning FPPs 5X faster than normal.

The Pokerstars VIP store has everything from luxury cars to computers to poker sets. You can also buy tournament tickets to both online and live events. If you are a Platinumstar player you can buy all of the merchandise except for the Supernova and Supernova Elite merchandise.

Pokerstars Time Tournaments

Time Tourneys are a new feature at Pokerstars. You can choose between 15, 30, 60, 90, 120 and 180 minutes of playing time. At the end of the time limit each player will be awarded part of the prize pool based on the number of chips they have. If you play in a $20 Time Tournament with a 2,000 starting stack each chip is worth 1 cent. If you have 8,000 chips when time runs out you will win $80, for a $60 profit. These new tournaments are only available at Pokerstars in 2012.

If you enjoy poker tournaments and freerolls there really isn’t a better place to play poker online than Party Poker. This post will take a look at the best Party Poker bonus code in 2012 and a small review of this online poker giant. Party Poker is currently the second largest poker site on the Internet and they have been closing the gap with Pokerstars, the number one room. Party Poker’s welcome package is unlike the typical poker room bonus. For those who enter the bonus code D500 there are a couple benefits plus a large bonus. I’ll start with the bonus since it is the first thing you will need to know about when you create an account at Party Poker.

Party Poker Bonus Code – Deposit Bonus & Tournaments

As I mentioned above the best Party Poker bonus code is D500. This bonus code guarantees a 100% match bonus up to 500 credits in the following currencies: $, £, €. You are probably thinking about the benefits of being able to pick which currency you want to play in. It doesn’t take a genius to know that British Pounds and Euros are worth more than U.S. Dollars. If you are able to deposit in either of these currencies you will essentially receive more bonus money than someone depositing in U.S. or Canadian Dollars.

Party Poker is well aware of this bonus inequity but they seem content to leave it how it is. The only thing they have done regarding this loophole is to setup different clearance requirements for each currency. Below I have listed the U.S. Dollar value for 500 credits of these other currencies based on today’s conversation rates:

British Pound Sterling – $786.15

Euro – $660.65

So by strategically choosing to deposit in British Pounds you can receive over 50% more bonus money compared to USD.

Once you have been credited with this bonus Party Poker will give you 60 days to clear it. Each currency has a different PartyPoints/$, £, €1 clearance rate:

British Pound Sterling – 9 PartyPoints for each bonus credit.

Euro – 8 PartyPoints for each bonus credit.

Dollar – 6 PartyPoints for each bonus credit.

This is just one aspect of the welcome package available to users that entered the Party Poker bonus code listed above. Here is an overview of the other perks attached to this bonus code:

$1,500 New Player Tournament – New depositors at Party Poker can play in this $1.5k freeroll tournament. This special event runs every Saturday at 14:00 ET.

$100k In Other Monthly Freerolls – Party Poker hands out $100,000 in freeroll prize pools each month. Some of these events are exclusively available to players in certain countries. This includes all of the EU countries, South American countries and some Asian countries. These run daily and each feature a $150 prize pool. Other Party Poker freerolls are open to all, even non-depositing players.

Party Poker – 2002 To 2012 – A Decade Of Great Poker

Party Poker opened up ten years ago. They quickly climbed the limited ranks of real money poker rooms and enjoyed the #1 online poker room status until 2006 when the USA passed the UIGEA, a bill restricting banks from processing online poker related transactions. Party Poker decided to ban US citizens so they could re-enter the market smoothly when online poker eventually becomes 100% legal in the USA. This move really hurt Party Poker and they slipped down to around the 4th largest poker site for several years. In 2011 the US government shut down several large US poker sites and this time Party Poker benefited from it. They have since claimed the #2 spot and continue to grow rapidly.

Online poker sites usually take small steps in this department but Party Poker went from mediocre to extraordinary practically overnight. The Party Poker bonus offered to new players is better than what most rooms offer but the rewards program is where the vast majority of the value can be found. Obviously you will want to claim the best bonus possible and it will provide a lot of value on the short term but loyal players should take advantage of the rewards program for long-term benefits. The Party Poker bonus code SKYHIGH will grant you a maximum bonus of $/£/€500. While you are clearing this bonus you will also be moving up the VIP ladder at Party Poker.

Having a solid understanding of the benefits offered through Party Poker’s rewards program will actually allow you to win more money. Playing a few hundred extra hands to increase or maintain your VIP level can easily turn a losing month into a winning month. This is why I decided to create this post. Many players are completely in the dark about the true scale of this rewards program. Using Party Points to buy $15,000 in cash or a $20,000 bonus seems impossible but the truth is that hardcore players do it all of the time.

Party Poker Rewards – The Levels & Benefits

There are five levels to this rewards program. Party Poker’s five VIP tiers each come with a host of benefits. Many poker sites issue comp points that you can use to buy in to tournaments or spend on t-shirts with the poker room’s logo on it. You can do this at Party Poker but that is only the tip of the iceberg. There are ten separate cash credits and nine opportunities to buy bonuses. Here is an overview of what you can earn from the Party Poker VIP program:

Cash credits: $10, $15, $50, $120, $300, $600, $1,500, $3,500, $15,000 and $50,000.

Bonuses – $30, $80, $200, $450, $1,000, $3,000, $7,000, $20,000 and $75,000.

The bonuses actually provide much more value than the cash rewards. When you purchase a bonus using you’re Party Points you will only need to earn a quarter of the bonuses cost in Party Points. This is only half of what Party Poker used to require. The bonuses are converted into cash in five increments so if you purchased a $3,000 bonus you would receive five $600 payments.

This VIP program is loaded with benefits for both small stakes and high stakes players. I have read several stories about players who play poker for a living at Party Poker. You can actually lose money at the tables every single day and still make six figures a year in profit. This is possible because of the rewards program. These players tend to play at several tables at once and spend 30-40 hours per week playing. The Party Points earned can offset huge losses once you are in the higher VIP tiers.

Palladium and Palladium Elite are the top two levels at Party Poker. They are comparable to Supernova and Supernova Elite at Pokerstars, Party Poker’s top rival. Admission into these levels is based on how many Party Points you earn during 90 day periods. Palladium requires 9,000 Party Points and Palladium Elite requires 40,000 Party Points. The three lower tiers are Bronze, Silver and Gold. You are instantly placed in the Bronze tier when you signup and you will need to earn 400 points to reach Silver. Gold level players need to earn 1,000 points.

One of the Internet’s most popular basketball sports books has issued their futures lines for the 2012 NCAA Men’s college basketball championships. BetOnline, one of the largest US sportsbooks is offering the best championship action for the NCAA. These lines are much better than what you will find over the next few weeks at other sports books. Bet Online is a specialized sports book for basketball, football and many other sports. Nearly 50% of all American sports betters call BetOnline home. Placing a few futures bets on the college basketball championships is an excellent way to start off the season.

2012 NCAA College Basketball Picks

I have already placed a couple thousand worth of futures bets for the 2012 NCAA championship. I opted to make a few longshots, a medium probability bet and a large probable bet. Here are my picks:

Kentucky – +535 – Bet $1,000

Kansas – +2500 – Bet $400

Duke – +950 – Bet $300

LSU – +17,500 – Bet $100

San Diego State – +12,500 – Bet $200

So that is an even $2,000 wagered. if you are unfamiliar with the way these basketball bets work I will explain below.

Kentucky – This team is a favorite and has a good chance at winning. BetOnline will pay $535 for every $100 wagered. I Bet $1,000 so if kentucky wins I will win a total of $5,350. That isn’t bad considering they are favored to win.

Kansas – Kansas is a medium strength team. My $400 bet will win me $10,000 if they win.

Duke – Duke is in the top 3 so they have a great chance. My $300 will be worth $2,850.

LSU – This is a longshot but my $100 wager is worth $17,500.

San Diego State – They are another long shot but if they manage to win it I will be paid $50,000.

So I basically have my bases covered. Between Kentucky and Duke I have about a 60% chance of winning. If either of them wins I will win my $2000 back as well as a profit ranging from $850 to $3,350. My other bets are less likely but crazier things have happened. From $10,000 to $50,000 I am taking a small risk for a huge payout.

Visit Betonline & receive a special bonus

By now many online poker players will at least have heard a little bit about Lock Poker. In these uncertain times a room like Lock Poker is a regular topic on poker forums and blogs. The Lock Poker bonus alone is enough to create a decent buzz. For those of you who are still unaware of this new poker site here is a little background information.

Lock Poker Review

Lock Poker is a very young poker room on the Merge network. This network is one of the few places American players are still playing at. They had to suspend new US signups due to the massive increase in traffic but are expected to resume in a matter of weeks. Lock Poker is pumping more money into promotions and other rewards than any other room on the network. The Lock Poker bonus code PNREPORT is offering a 150% match bonus and tickets to private freerolls with $500 prize pools.

If you do not wish to make a deposit you can always take advantage of the nine $50 freerolls they run daily. Lock Poker has been giving away tens of thousands of dollars via cool promotions during the last few months. Very few poker sites are honoring their promotional and VIP program commitments but Lock Poker has been upping the ante. This is partially why Lock Poker is one of the fastest growing poker rooms after Black Friday.

Casino fans will enjoy the games available at Lock Poker. They are one of the better poker/casino hybrids on the market today. The only rooms that could compete with them in this category were UB and AP, both of which have shut down and ripped off hundreds of thousands of poker players.

Lock Poker – The Software

The platform Lock Poker uses, for the poker room, is unlike anything you will find at the older rooms like Party Poker or Poker Stars. They took an entirely different approach and most players are very pleased with it. The graphics are very nice but the true value lies in the custom features. Have you ever wanted to call someone a donkey? Sure you have and if you are like me you have done so countless times.

When you call someone a donkey or fish at Lock Poker it will generate a virtual donkey on the table, or a fish. Insulting poker players has never been so fun. There are many commands you can type in if you want to have an animation appear on the table. When I win a big pot or make a good play I like to type “shark”. This will cause a shark to swim around the table, for all to see. Lock Poker also has the rabbit feature. Let’s say you are HU with a guy and you are bluffing. If you can bluff him out of the hand you can use the rabbit feature to have the dealer deal the cards that would have come if you guys had played the hand out. I’m not aware of many poker rooms that offer this feature. You will see the pro’s request it on TV at the big poker tournaments but being able to do it whenever you want is pretty cool.
